Aselsan will display its New Generation Smart Cockpit Solution at IDEF 2017, showcasing the systems’ ability to improve pilot capability in a wide range of operational scenarios by providing precise and eloquent flight and sensor data, a digital map and tactical symbology. Display systems have been designed to operate with indigenously-developed mission computers, thus offering a modern digital cockpit featuring mission and flight management capabilities blended with sensor and weapon management.

Designed within the context of ongoing avionics development programmes, the Aselsan Smart Cockpit solution has been developed specifically for the next generation fighter aircraft, including the Turkish Indigenous Fighter Aircraft, incorporating mission computer and display system in a single unit. Pilots will be able to select from mission pages such as primary flight display, cockpit management data or digital map. The system features an Operational Flight Programme (OFP) that operates the mission functions and is totally compliant to the platform requirements. The OFP also controls display and mission functions, data management and sub-systems that interface with the smart cockpit. The solution provides many advanced features such as three-dimensional audio, synthetic vision and automatic voice recognition.
