With its low weight of about 20kg and a length of 1m, the MAM-L offers a cost-efficient solution for light attack aircraft as well as UAVs. Featuring a high explosive fragmentation warhead, it is highly effective against light structures, unarmoured ground vehicles, radar antennas and soft targets such weapon pits and personnel within a 25m radius. Another version, with a tandem high-energy anti-tank warhead, is effective against heavy armoured vehicles. The munition can be used efficiently at ranges up to 8km, depending on the release altitude.
Meanwhile, the fact that MAM-L is a member of the same family as the Roketsan medium range anti-tank missile OMTAS and long range anti-tank missiles UMTAS/L-UMTAS, offers significant advantages for users in terms of training and logistics.
Roketsan is also leveraging the experience in integrating MAM-L into air platforms. As long as the air platforms have the required infrastructure, Roketsan can operationalise the MAM-L by completing all the related integration works within a few months. In the event of the infrastructure requiring additional elements, the company also offers integration support.
