Katadyn Group develops supply solutions for military units via its brands Katadyn, Optimus and Trek’n Eat. Cook systems, water filters and day ration packs ensure basic supplies under difficult conditions in the field. In the past, the group already introduced various equipement for armed forces and military units, includingspecially designed stoves, among other gear. As a global brand leader for water treatment systems, the Katadyn Group supplies troops with  drinking water in military operations.

In order to offer information about hydration and other basics about drinking water supplies, the Katadyn Group has pulled together specific related content in its military blog (here), where one can can get a glimpse of the world of Katadyn 360° Out-door Kitchen products from the Katadyn Base Camp 10L Water Filter, the Polaris Optifuel Multifuel Stove by Optimus and the Day Ration Supply Packs.

The reliable Katadyn Base Camp 10L holds a volume of 10l, packs small and, once empty, can find space in any pack or bag. With its large opening, the Base Camp 10L can be filled without any problem, plus thanks to the Ultra Flow Filter it produces reliable drinking water at a flow rate of 2l a minute only using gravity. The filter protector can be cleaned very easily, making it possible to filter up to 1,500l of water with the Base Camp Pro without needing any pumping.

Optimus' Polaris Optifuel is a versatile, flexible multifuel stove using nearly every liquid fuel (LP gas canisters, unleaded, diesel, kerosene, petroleum and paraffin). Changing between fuels functions even without the time-consuming need to swap jets or use additional adapters. When operating with LP gas canisters, you can change from efficiency mode to the stronger 4-season mode by turning the gas canister upside down. The quick-lighting burner only demands a very short pre-heating period. Even when using liquid fuels, the stove can be very precisely regulated. A wide base lends the Polaris Optifuel great stability, and the multi-tool (included) ensures optimum cleaning. The magnetic cleaning needle allows quick cleaning of the jet even while cooking. A durable, integrated aluminum pump is safe and reliable to use with its integrated flip-stop function.

The Day Ration Pack is a supply pack for troops made for individual use. It ensures soldiers’ nutrient needs are covered in case provisions are not available at a field kitchen or canteen. The foundation of the packs are Trek’n Eat meals, which with their approx. 600 calories of energy are particularly suited for intense physical activity. The Day Ration Packs are then rounded out with carefully selected nutritional items such as energy bars or drinks.

"Making good things better. Operating under this maxim, we at the KATADYN GROUP strive to meet and to exceed our customers’ expectations in terms of safe, simple and sustainable Swiss solutions," the company states.
