This year there are more than a dozen pavilions and the finest companies from individual countries are here this week - more than, 250 single exhibitors of all sizes. One of the more surprising largest exhibitors is Jadara from Jordan.

Like its sister exposition and conference Eurosatory - the leading defence event in Europe, Expodefensa’s organisers make it easy for visiting delegations, potential buyers and new industry partners to find each other through its unique way of classifying exhibitors according to their expertise, product solutions and specialities - 13 different categories that are broken down further into an average of 10 sub-categories. This means that Expodefensa is addressing more than 130 potential types of materiel and system requirements, including air, land and sea platforms; C5ISTAR and EW; weaponry and protection; Homeland Security, continuity and resiliency; training and simulation; and sub-assemblies for prime and sub-prime contractors.

This makes Expodefensa a useful platform for meetings, discussions, agreements, and purchasing between prime and sub-contractors and specifiers, purchasing agencies and government estates.

We will see this week how technology transfers, transaction transparency and legitimately enriching local industry are at the foundation of agreements between governments and companies in Latin America we will see at Expodefensa this week - and nowadays. This underscores how Latin America has arrived as a combined world power in terms of its industrial professionalism.
