The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) contracted Aimpoint to supply MICRO T-2 red dot sights including transportation bags for an amount of up to €5.5 million. The red dot sights are supplied by NSPA to the Finnish Defence Forces and will be delivered by the end of 2018.

The Aimpoint MICRO T-2 sights have been in operation with military organisations worldwide for several years. It is a user-friendly, soldier-tested and combat proven sight that increases the effectiveness of the individual soldier. The attractiveness of the MICRO T-2 sight relies on its weight by just over 100g combined with extreme ruggedness, and an operational life on a single battery of up to 50,000 hours or five years on continuous use. Currently, more than 1,500,000 Aimpoint sights are already in use by military forces around the world. The Finnish Defence Forces chose Aimpoint because they want to increase the speed and precision of their combatants’ use of weapons as well as the assault rifle’s usability in poor light conditions.
This Reflex collimator sight with LED (peak wavelength: 655 ± 10nm) operates after immersion (limits: depth of 25m/83mft) and is operable after a temperature shock between -45°C and +71°C. Duration: four hours of +71°C and four hours of -45°C; cycling three times. No optical signature is visible at 10m meter , front side, on appropriate settings with NVD 3. The MICRO T-2 is operable before and after shock within the following limits: X-axis: 500mg, 0.7–1.1ms (three shocks), Y-axis: 40g ±4g, 11 ±1ms (two shocks in each direction), Z-axis: 40g ±4g, 11 ±1ms, (two shocks in each direction). The unit operates despite mvibration (limits: Vibration, msinusoidal in a frequency range of m10-150 Hz; frequency: 10-30 Hz, ±1.587 mm, frequency: 30-150 Hz. 5.75 g, 1 octave/min). It withstands moccasional contamination of: Hydraulic oil (FSD 8407, Tryckolja 021), Lubricating oil (FSD 8127,Motorolja 5W/30), Lubricating oil(FSD 8220, Smörjfett 220), Lubricating oil (Break Free), Fuels (FSD 8612, Diesel fuel oil), Solvents/cleaning (FSD).
