Meggitt plc has signed a contract with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) for development and prototype manufacture/delivery of a high-temperature electronic engine vibration monitoring unit (EVMU) for the latter’s KF-x fighter aircraft. The contract is one of a number that Meggitt has concluded in support of the programme.
The KF-X programme, launched by the South Korean government in 2011, is a partnership with the Indonesian government, which has agreed to contribute to the aircraft’s development costs.
“This contract builds on the development work we have been undertaking with KAI on innovative technology for the KF-X. We look forward to continuing our partnership and developing and delivering state-of-the-art prototypes,” commented Meggitt Sensing Systems President, Chris Allen.
