A new Antonov AN-32B transport aircraft has been delivered to the Peruvian Navy, having been procured from Russian company Ural Avia.

A selection process managed by the Procurement Agency of the Armed Forces (ACFFAA) ended with a contract being awarded a $3.12 million contract to deliver the aircraft. The Navy requires the aircraft to replace another of the same type lost in an accident while landing at Mazamari airfield in October 2017. The aircraft overshot the runway and hit a wall, damaging the centre fuselage and front landing gear.
