Elmo Motion Control launched the world’s smallest, highest power servo for operating in extreme conditions – the DOUBLE GOLD BEE – at the AUSA meeting in Washington earlier this week.

Suitable for a wide range of air and land applications and platforms, and offering developers high performance in minimal volume, the servo is especially suitable for demanding applications such as UAVs, UGVs, radars and antennas, camera and laser pods and azimuth/elevation systems, meeting the emerging requirements of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing.

DOUBLE GOLD BEE delivers 10,000W of qualitative power and continuous currents up to 160A (80V) and 140A (100V), with an overall weight of only 1.2 ounces. The drive can therefore be positioned within a motor or on a moving load – saving space, improving machine performance, reducing cable connections and eliminating electrical cabinets – while delivering exceptional levels of power to the motor.
