SMAG Mobile Antenna Masts announced on 3 December that its Type Ftm 25/6 mobile antenna mast systems have been selected by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of a southern African nation.

Key elements in the selection process, according to the company, were reliability and ease of use. The order marks the first time that SMAG has entered into an agreement to deliver its popular systems to the region – and the company expects more orders to follow, with the MoD in question having announced its intention to continue the successful collaboration. The tailor-made antenna masts, with a height of up to 40m, do not require any type of guy wires – a unique feature. They have been manufactured in Salzgitter since 1974 and rapidly gained international prominence. They are installed in operation in over 50 countries, with military forces for missions such as communication, data transmission, jamming, monitoring and border control, as well as with civil customers such as telecommunications and mobile phone companies, radio and TV broadcasting organisations.

We stand for a strong brand that inspires trust, quality and highest reliability. Our goal is not only to assist and advise our customers to find the right system for their specific business or application, but also to be a dependable partner to our clients after the commissioning phase. I am convinced that our products can prove their value in this new market, even in the most critical areas of application. The entire team is looking forward to further projects,” commented the company’s Managing Director, Wolfgang Schnelle.
