On booth #03-A21 at IDEX, Harris informed MONCh that the company upgraded the TNW-75 Waveform – doubling the user node count and providing significantly greater value for large C4I networks.

The increase in nodes from 64 to 128 enables users to flatten the company and below networks into a single 75kHz network that provides more accurate operational understanding, eliminates radio-to-radio interconnection points of failure, and reduces the number of radios and required spectrum by 25 percent.

The upgrade further enhances the already capable TNW-75 waveform, which is self-forming and self-healing, designed for ease of use and provides a common operating picture with a range of up to 30 kilometres. Other advanced capabilities include low latency situational awareness updates while on the move, real-time C2 for dismounted, mobile and aerial tier assets, and up to six platoon-level talk groups.

The waveform also provides streamlined mapping of both blue and red forces, while providing electronic warfare defense via flexible operations through both VHF and UHF spectrums and with anti-jamming technologies.

This TNW-75 improvement coupled with the Harris 7850 leading family of radios, provides customers with an overwhelming communications advantage on the technology-driven battlefield,” said Christopher Aebli, Vice President and General Manager, International Tactical Communications. “The capability improvement delivered on a narrow-band 75kHz channel makes it ideal for spectrum-constrained environments and large-scale land force deployments.”
