Aselsan has received an award from the Turkish Navy to develop brand new technology of naval communications, i.e. Aselsan’s 9671 V/UHF Naval Software Defined Radio (SDR).
Aselsan’s 9671 V/UHF (Very high frequency – VHF, 30-300 megahertz [MHz]; Ultra high frequency – UHF 300MHz to three gigahertz [GHz]) SDRs are designed to cover 30–512MHz frequency band and have encrypted/clear voice and data communication modes with Electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM) capability for air-to-ground, ground-to-ground, ship-to-ship, ship-to-air and ship-to-shore communications.

The radios are equipped with state of the art hardware that utilises sophisticated software-based architecture in order to support different waveforms and mode of operation including enhanced electronic protection measures. Waveforms supported are: WBNR (Wide Band Networking Radio) Waveform Mode (50-512 MHz), Narrow Band Networking Radio Waveform Mode (30-512 MHz), VHF/FM CNR Mode (30-108 MHz), A-CNR Mode (30-512 MHz), SK-2 VHF/UHF Mode (146-174 MHz, 406-470 MHz), V/UHF Air to Ground Mode (108-400 MHz) and APCO 25 Mode (146-174MHz,380-400 MHz and 406-470 MHz).

They feature Internal Guard Receivers (121.5 MHz, 243 MHz) and MIL-STD and NATO STANAG compatibility.

Aselsan communication systems are currently providing the advanced communication capabilities of many armed forces worldwide.
