Elbit Systems is to deliver more than 1,000 additional E-LynX software-defined radios (SDR) to the Swedish Army, expanding the company’s involvement in the service’s tactical radio upgrade programme.

Serial deliveries of the SDR network solution to the army began in 2018 and the imminent deliveries – which will be made through Elbit Systems’ subsidiary in Germany – will include E-LynX in handheld and vehicle-mounted configurations.

E-LynX facilitates advanced networking solutions in both field and urban environments. The E-LynX family is designed with an open architecture approach, features unique waveforms and enables the adoption of a range of additional European and NATO waveforms. The installed base of E-LynX SDR systems has been growing steadily.  The company is the provider of current and future land SDR systems for the Israeli Defense Forces and was selected to supply E-LynX systems to other military services.
