Sectra received several orders from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) in the first quarter, the company announced on 2 September.

Expanding the existing relationship with Sectra, the FMV orders, valued at SEK63 million (€6.1 million), cover further development of existing systems and solutions for secure communication. Both military and civil defence agencies are hereby further strengthening their ability to communicate securely and efficiently.

The security policy situation has worsened in recent years, and foreign powers are working actively on recording and collecting data concerning sensitive operations. Sweden’s capacity for secure communication is therefore of crucial importance, and this order confirms that we are playing an important role in its maintenance and further development,” commented Simo Pykälistö, President of Sectra Communications.

Sectra has been working together with FMV since 1987, during which time the partnership has developed and delivered products for secure communication. This continued collaboration will strengthen the communications protection capacity of Swedish military and civil defence agencies.
