Camelbak's Max Gear Bottle Pouch is a light (153g/5.4oz) and softer, yet super strong bottle holder made out of 500D Cordura. It attaches to any MOLLE attachment system and has MOLLE webbing on the front for additional gear. The zipper and compression bungee both operate smoothly, while the 500D Cordura and nylon webbing insulate any .75l or 1l CamelBak bottle inside the pouch.

The PALLAS is NexTool’s (a NexTorch company) new tactical pen designed primarily for female users. Featuring a powerful nano-ceramic striking tip and crafted out of precision machined aluminum, PALLAS is durable enough to function as a tough window breaker and self-defence tool. The replaceable ink cartridge is a NASA developed Fisher space pen (Fisher Space cartridge SPR4), which can write at any angle and in most any weather conditions, wether it is cold, hot or underwater. The gracefully curved design alongside the clover-shaped cutouts make PALLS an easily concealable and lightweight weapon to keep in your pocket or purse. Machined out of high quality T7075 aerospace grade aluminium, it is durable enough for most rugged situations like self-defence and emergency rescue as well as tactical defense. Having tested this tactical pen during the KSK Symposium 2018, we can only stress its smooth design and tough exterior. KSK Symposium 18, KSK, Kommando Spezialkräfte, SOCOM, Special FOrces Command, SpezKrBw, Bundeswehr, special Forces, SOF

The research and studies from Invisio’s independent tests are impressive as are the silent testimonials from a growing list of police and military customers worldwide. However, this is the first time MONCh had a chance to test one of the best-known rigs from Invisio, the V50 control unit and the X5 headset.

Rechargeable flashlights are the way to go, but Coast’s recent focus on lithium/alkaline hybrid lights is a breath of fresh air, eliminating the need to have spare batteries on hand and allowing the user to keep a much cheaper set of alkalines as a backup plan. The lightest of a batch recently tested (see one review here), is the Coast POLYSTEEL 600R hybrid flashlight, powered by the company’s lithium battery pack.

Well known within the tactical community, i.e. military and law enforcement, 5.11 Tactical continues to produce high quality and durable products, case in point, the XPRT 3.0 waterproof 6in boot. Boots, i.e. footwear, is the first piece of equipment that tactical users need at the beginning of an operation/shift and the last thing when coming home. Good footwear is made to be quickly forgotten, while bad footwear will provide head-, and especially, footaches. I had the opportunity to wear 5.11's XPRT Tactical Boot for a while and would recommend them to any professional without any fear (test here https://www.monch.com/mpg/news/gear-box/928-product-review-5-11-xprt-2-0-tactical-desert-urban-boot.html). 5.11 now gave me the chance to do the same with its versatile XPRT 3.0 boot. I tested the 5.11 XPRT 3.0 boots on a short 32 hour trip, mostly marching through marshland and swampy plains, where it was wet with little downpours. The boots felt broken in right out of the box. Lined with 37.5 microfleece from Cocona Inc., the UF PRO HUNTER FZ Jacket was my main jacket during the main exhibitions this spring (about 10-14 degrees Celsius), as it not only kept me warm, but also does not look too tactical, so one can wear this light-shell jacket for a business casual look. There is no morale patch velco area nor is there a hood, which adds to the more casual look.

With the ZP5 line, Minox brought some very interesting new rifle scopes to the market, suitable for both sporting and tactical applications. MONCh Gear Box tested the ZP5 5-25x56, which represents the current standard for modern sniper scopes. The Minox comes with flip-up caps, a cleaning-cloth, a 2mm hex key for zeroing and a battery for the illuminated reticle. It seems to be a high-value and rugged article. Adjusting the dioptric is fast and easy and is secured by a locking ring against accidental adjustment. We mounted the scope onto a Haenel RS8 in .308 Winchester, with an Era-Tac mount with 20 MOA cant. Mounting itself was pretty easy, as we only put a feeler gauge between the mount-block and the flat bottom of the scope. The screws were tightened with a torque wrench.
