Emphasising the fact that its technologies allow naval forces to counteract any threat in complex maritime environments, Saab focused the attention of visitors to its EXPONAVAL 2018 booth on its 9LV combat management system (CMS).
Presented in detail at one of the technical conference sessions in Valparaíso, the 9LV suite offers complete C4I capabilities for naval vessels of any size and nature, from fast patrol boats through frigates to aircraft carriers as well as submarines. Providing naval forces with multi-mission operational capabilities, the Swedish company offers three different packages, tailored to platform- and mission-specific requirements: the 9LV Combat System (9LV CS); 9LV Combat Management System (9LV CMS); and 9LV Fire Control System (9LV FCS).
Also on show was the EOS-500 shot detection system, a stabilised optronic tracking system. Designed for use in all naval ships, it features high quality stabilization: advanced TV and IR cameras and a laser range finder provide operators with an efficient solution for observation, target identification, gun fire and missile laser guidance. Capable of detecting a wide range of threats, the EOS-500 can also be integrated into any modern multifunction console.
