Ternion Corporation has won a contract valued at $13.3 million (€12.3 million) for development, procurement, sustainment and maintenance of the FLAMES Automated Simulation Trainer (FAST).

FAST is used as embedded training simulation for the USMC’s Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S). It is a custom FLAMES-based simulation developed by Ternion to serve as the central constructive simulation in live-virtual-constructive training exercises. Over the course of CAC2S development, FAST has been integrated into the system and interfaced with several componnt systems to support CAC2S operator training.

The first delivery order under the contract covers FAST operations, maintenance, research, development, test and evaluation and procurement of multiple FAST and FAST editor licenses.
