Austal has launched the first CAPE-class vessel for the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard (TTCG).

The as-yet-unnamed 58m aluminium monohull vessel is specifically designed to fulfil a wide range of maritime security threats and will enhance the TTCG’s capabilities to provide border protection. With an operational range of 4,000nmi and a patrol endurance ability of up to 28 days, the CAPE-class crew complement is 22. The vessel also embarks two 7.3m high-speed RHIB for rescue or interception missions.
