OSI Systems, a Hawthorne, CA based developer and manufacturer of specialised electronic systems for the homeland security, aerospace and healthcare markets, announced on 1 May its Security Division has received a two-year contract extension from the US Department of Defense to provide training, service and logistics for its RAPISCAN cargo and vehicle inspection systems in service with a Foreign Military Sales customer.

The RAPISCAN brand encompasses a range of inspection, detection and monitoring systems aimed at a wide variety of applications from airport and port security to detection of nuclear materials and other contraband materials. “We look forward to continuing to support the efforts of our customer to provide security for critical infrastructure,” company Chairman and CEO, Deepak Chopra, commented.
