Trijicon is showing the new 1-8×28 AccuPower LED Riflescope at SHOT Show. The new sight offers true 1-8 magnification with a First Focal Plane reticle. The tube is 34mm with a 28mm objective lens.

It comes with MIL and MOA reticles in green or red illumination, with 11 settings. The size of the tube means it will be a rather large scope, similar to the Zeiss V8 1.1-8x, which has a 36 mm tube and a 30 mm lens for comparison. The Swarovski Z8 1-8x will be a bit smaller, as they have squeezed in all that 8 power in a 30mm tube and 24mm lens. Regardless, the Trijicon is still compact enough for any AR-type rifle.

One of the benefits with a larger lens is that the eyebox will be more forgiving, a feature you will appreciate in awkward shooting positions. The Trijicon 1-8×28 Accupower comes with a first focal plane reticle. Unfortunately that luxury usually means a higher price, as it’s more expensive to manufacture.

Next to its new products, Trijicon is showcasing its trusted ACOG sights.
