DroneShield Ltd has released its DroneGun Mk III, a handheld pistol-format drone jammer, the company announced on 15 July.

Following extensive development in response to end-user feedback, the unit, which weighs 1.95kg, including battery, is intended as a supplement to, rather than a replacement for, the company’s successful DroneGun Tactical, with a shorter range of approx. 500m as opposed to its larger counterparty’s 1-2,000 m range envelope.

The system can be used in combination with other DroneShield products, including the RfPatrol body-worn detection device and the DroneSentinel stationary multi-sensor detection system.
