Nexter will be focusing attention on its digital, robotic and innovation capabilities during UMEX 2020, 23-25 February in Abu Dhabi.

Nexter teams have worked in close collaboration with the UAE’s land forces for almost 25 years, especially in the fields of armoured vehicles (the LECLERC MBT programme, for example), artillery and ammunition. The aim now is to strengthen these partnerships with innovative solutions that meet the specific operational needs of the UAE Army. The company will showcase:

• NERVA robots: Nexter Robotics’ NERVA LG with associated kits, highlighting the modular and versatile nature pf the entire family, which delivers excellent operational responsiveness, according to the company. The French Army has acquired 56 robots under the SCORPION programme; the Canadian Army is about to receive 88 robots ordered in March last year.

• Training modules: Nexter Training will be showing two immersive simulation modules. The first, dubbed Virtual Operation Training (VOT), provides gunners a virtual training facility for the CAESAR 155mm artillery system. The second, Virtual Maintenance Training (VMT), trains operators in the maintenance and repair of P20 guns.

• The FINDMP system: International Golden Group, Nexter’s partner in Abu Dhabi will show FINDMP, an operations planning, preparation and monitoring tool compatible with any battle management system. A joint forces system that can be used at all levels of decision-making, from section to staff level, FINDMP has been acquired by the French Army for testing prior to possible deployment.
